Q. How do I request an application to NOBTS?

A. Click here to request a NOBTS application and catalog.

 

Q. How do I check the status of my application to NOBTS?

A. To check the status of your application you need to e-mail the Admissions Assistant. Applications are processed in the order in which they are received and can take eight to ten weeks to be completely processed.

 

Q. How do I request an official transcript from NOBTS?

A. In order to request an official Transcript from the Registrar's office you will need to submit the transcript request form to the Registrar's office containing the following information:

·       Your name

·       Your NOBTS ID number

·       Your address

·       Your official signature

·       The address of where the transcript is to be sent

·        $10.00 per request

·       Once the Registrar's office receives a transcript request it will be sent within three to five working days.

 

Q. How do I sign up for an academic workshop?

A. sign up for an academic workshop you need to register on IQ Web like you would for regular semester classes.

 

1) Log into your IQ Web account at https://iqweb.nobts.edu/iqweb/Secure/logon.asp

2) If you need further help with online registration, click on the “Online Registration Demo” link at the bottom left. Also pay attention that you select the correct Workshop Term at step 3 of the registration process.

3) To order your textbooks from the Seminary Lifeway store, call 1-800-570-0250. You will receive a 20 percent student discount on virtually all textbooks by ordering your books by phone. The books will be mailed to you as soon as possible by UPS. You can get information by e-mail at neworleans4638@lifeway.com.

4) If you would like to reserve a room at Providence Guest House to stay in New Orleans during an academic workshop, call 504-944-4455.

 

Q Does NOBTS have other campuses besides the one in New Orleans?

A Yes. The NOBTS Extension Center System is a vital part of the educational program of the Seminary. Over fifteen centers are maintained throughout the southeastern United States.

 

Q. If I am an extension center student how can I receive on-campus credit?

A. Student’s can receive on campus and hub credits in three ways: Academic Workshops, Saturday Classes, and Independent Studies with on-campus professors. Please refer to page 25-6 of the catalog for more in depth information on on-campus credits.

 

Q. If I have taken religion courses in my undergraduate program can those credits be applied to my graduate degree?

A. Yes. If you've taken religion courses in your undergraduate program (whether at a Baptist college or another university), you may be able to get a head start on seminary through the Baptist College Partnership Program at NOBTS.

 

Q. Is any financial aid available for seminary students?

A. Yes. The Financial Aid Office offers a variety of services to help meet the differing needs of students.
