Undergraduate Certificates (Leavell College)

The undergraduate certificate programs through Leavell College are designed to enhance the knowledge base and leadership skills of pastors, staff, and other leaders in local churches. These short-term training opportunities are available to all persons regardless of educational background.

The following undergraduate certificates currently are offered online:

• Biblical Studies Certificate
• Christian Education Certificate
• Christian Ministry Certificate
• Basic Women's Ministry Certificate (hybrid)
• Advanced Women's Ministry Certificate

Leavell College also offers a degree completion program for those who have an associate's degree and desire to complete their bachelor's degree. The degree completion is a combination of online courses and periodic on-campus workshops. Graduate Certificates (NOBTS)

Graduate certificates provide a systematic approach for students holding a baccalaureate degree to explore the possibility of pursuing a seminary degree while concentrating on a specific area of study, for missionaries to fulfill International Mission Board seminary requirements, or for students holding a master’s degree to gain additional knowledge of an area not covered extensively in their previous master’s program specialization.

• Korean Biblical Languages Certificate
• Biblical Studies Certificate
• Hebrew Studies Certificate
• Greek Studies Certificate
• Missions Certificate 

Distance Learning Track Master of Divinity (M.Div.) Degree

New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary now offers a Master of Divinity degree program that provides 60 of the 91 semester hours of course work in an online format. The other 31 hours can be taken through in-person classes on one of our campuses. For more information, see the Distance Learning M.Div. page.

Korean Theological Institute

Korean online classes and/or Korean Institute classroom courses in Atlanta can be used to complete the Korean Biblical Languages Certificate. Students needing help registering for the Korean online courses should contact Hochul Song at kti@nobts.edu.

Important Dates and Deadlines

*All Internet courses will have an Introduction and Student Verification Week at the beginning of each semester. During this week students and professors can interact while the Business Office verifies student accounts and finalizes registrations.

NOTE: You will not be given access to your course(s) until you have settled your account in the Business Office prior to the start of classes. Contact the Business office at (504) 282-4455, ext. 3210 if you have questions. Please keep in mind that you are not officially in the class until the Classes Begin date. At that time all students who have been approved can begin to access course materials through Blackboard.
