What is the Doctor of Educational Ministry Program?

Doctor of Educational Ministry (DEdMin)

The Doctor of Educational Ministry is a professional degree providing qualified students the opportunity to achieve a high level of excellence in the practice of educational ministry. The degree is built on prerequisites including a theological, ministerial or professional master's degree from an accredited institution, high intellectual achievement and professional capability, and substantial professional experience in ministry.

 

PREREQUISITES

  • 3.0 out of 4.0 GPA
  • Substantial ministry experience
  • A theological, ministerial, or professional master's degree from an accredited institution
  • Degree or supplemental transcripts must include hours in:
    • biblical and theological studies
    • organizational leadership/administration
    • instructional theory and practice
    • educational foundations
  • Students may be required to complete additional studies for admission. 
  • Current, permanent vocational ministry position

  • CEEF8301 - Perspectives in Contemporary Educational Ministry
  • CEAM8303 - Building and Managing an Effective Organization
  • CEAM8305 - Strategic Church Development through Christian Education
  • PMEV8305/CEDI8305 - Developing a Disciple Making Strategy for a Healthy, Growing Church
  • THCH8301/CEDI8301 - Spiritual Formation of the Minister

2 Christian Education Elective Seminars from over 30 Christian Education Seminars


3 General Elective Seminars from over 80 Seminars
(may be used for Specialization )

 

PROJECT IN MINISTRY (6 hours)


Project Implementation, Project Report, and Exit Interview
