FREE Caskey ‘No Restraints’ Conference set for April 21-22; Register by April 9

Serving in a smaller membership church or as a bivocational minister? Come to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary April 21-22 for the No Restraints conference and enjoy training and fellowship. This free conference will allow you and your wife to worship and pray with other bi-vocational and smaller membership church ministers, as well as learn some new skills to assist with your ministry. Breakout session topics include: using LOGOS Bible software in sermon preparation, money management, and accountability. The deadline to register is April 9.

Keynote speakers include Ed Stetzer, executive director of the Billy Graham Center for Evangelism at Wheaton College and contributing editor for Christianity Today, and Phil Waldrep, founder and president of Phil Waldrep Ministries – a ministry of encouragement for gospel ministers. NOBTS President Chuck Kelley and his wife, Rhonda, will lead a special session titled “Excellence in Marriage and Ministry.” Courtney Veasey, director of women’s academic programs at NOBTS, will lead the sessions for ministry wives.

Housing options for attendees

There is no deadline to make reservations to stay at Providence Guest House, but there is limited space! Rooms are often filled more than a month out from the event. Availability for housing is limited due to space restrictions. Pre-register for housing by emailing Providence Guest House at Those whose names are on the list of pre-registered guests should check in at the Providence Guest House, and the room key will be given to you at that time. Check in is a 3 p.m., with check out at 11 a.m.

The student rate at Providence Guest House is $50 per room per night. Schedule your room reservation with Providence Guest House at The charge for housing can be put on your student account. Students must have a current NOBTS Student ID card to present at check in and check out in order to receive the discounted student rate of 50.00 per night. ID Cards can be obtained at the Dean of Students Office in the Hardin Student Center. IDs must be from the main campus (extension Center IDs are not sufficient).

For Caskey Center scholarship recipients, the Caskey Center for Church Excellence will provide a room Friday night at no cost to you. Please inform the Caskey Center at at the same time you schedule your room reservation with Providence Guest House. Please register by April 9.
