Housing Options for Single Students

Single Undergraduate Students: All incoming, unmarried Leavell College students will be required to live on campus and in the designated dorms of Lipsey Hall (male) and Carey Hall (female) until the time that they turn 21 years of age.

Move-In day for Fall Semester 2023 is August 9!

Leavell College New Student Orientation will be August 10-12

Exemptions may be requested and reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Students who may be eligible to receive a residence requirement exemption include, but are not limited to:

  • Students who live with their parents or legal guardian at a residence within 30 miles of campus
  • Students who have dependents
  • Students with certified medical needs or conditions
  • Students who are 20 years of age with 60 or more credit hours

If you would like to be considered for a housing exemption please fill out the exemption form. No assignment other than a dorm will be considered unless you have received approval from the Dean of Student's office for an exemption.

Single Graduate Students: All Graduate and Doctoral NOBTS students may select from any of the following housing options, with the exception of Lipsey Hall (male). 

 

Dormitories
  • Semi-Private Rooms
    • 2 students (maximum) per room
    • 2 standard-size twin beds, 2 wardrobes, 2 desks with chairs, 1 4-drawer dresser, and 1 2-drawer night stand
    • Sink and mirrored medicine cabinet
    • Rent: $295.00 per month
  • Private Rooms (limited availability)
    • 1 student per room
    • 1 standard-size twin bed, 1 wardrobe, 1 desk and chair, 1 4-drawer dresser, and 1 2-drawer night stand
    • Sink and mirrored medicine cabinet
    • Rent: $425.00 per month

Private Room Floor Plan

  • Damage Deposit: $195.00 ($75.00 subject to refund)
  • Common lounge areas and TV rooms
  • Community bathrooms on all floors
  • Garbage pickup and all utilities are covered by the seminary
  • Internet is provided in the Dorms
  • Debit/credit card-operated laundry facilities

Carey Hall (Women's Dorms)

  • Full kitchen on first and second floor
  • Common rooms on first and second floor
  • Laundry facilities on first and second floor

Courtyard Apartments

  • Each apartment has four private bedrooms and two semi-private bathrooms
  • Apartments are for either 4 single male students or 4 single female students
  • Electric stove and refrigerator are provided in the kitchen
  • Tile Flooring
  • Central Heating and Air
  • Utilities and garbage disposal are provided by the seminary
  • Debit/Credit card-operated laundry facilities are available
  • Residents are responsible for cable/Internet services if desired
  • Furnished apartments (1st and 2nd floors)
    • Bedrooms contain a standard-size twin bed, free-standing wardrobe, dresser, and desk with chair
    • Living rooms contain 3 bookcases, 2 end tables, a couch and 2 chairs
    • Kitchen/dining area contains a table with 4 chairs
    • Rent: $535.00 per month
  • Unfurnished apartments (2nd and 3rd floors)
    • Bedrooms contain a free-standing wardrobe
    • Residents are responsible for furnishing the unit
    • Rent: $435.00 per month
  • Damage Deposit $250.00 ($100.00 subject to refund)
