Ministry Wife Certificate

The Ministry Wife Certificate is designed to provide encouragement, direction, and training for student and ministry wives in biblical studies, marriage and family matters, personal spiritual growth, and practical skills. Leavell College will be offering the following courses for the Ministry Wife Certificate during the Fall 2018-Summer 2019 academic year:

Certificate Information and Fees

This Ministry Wife Certificate is designed for NOBTS campus and extension center student wives as well as other ministry wives.   Wives of all currently-enrolled NOBTS students can register for and enroll in these courses free of charge.  Other ministry wives whose husbands are not currently attending NOBTS will be required to pay fees and hourly tuition rates.  All students will be responsible for textbook costs.

The requirements for the certificate include "The Minister's Wife" and seven elective courses.  The Minister's Wife course is offered every fall on campus as well as in a 2-and-a-half-day workshop format during Red Carpet Week in May and online.  This course must be completed before a student can earn the Ministry Wife certificate.  New students will be enrolled in the Ministry Wife certificate program when they register for their first class.

To Apply:

Ministry Wives can apply into the program by completing the Ministry Wife Application Form (click here for form). There is no charge but each student must apply before being registered into classes. 

Online Courses

One online course is offered during the fall, spring and summer.  Online courses are 8 weeks in length. Students will be required to complete online weekly assignments in these courses. Once the form is filled out and you are registered, you will receive a confirmation email from the Leavell College Office. On-Campus Courses

Two classes are offered on campus every semester.  Classes meet Tuesday nights 6:30-8:30 in the Hardin Student Center. Students can register for the on-campus classes preferably though Self-Serve but have the option to register on the first night of class. Immunizations are required by the second night of class for students who attend Tuesday night on-campus classes. For a list of courses, click on the schedule above. Free childcare is available at the Preschool Education Center by reservation the Friday before each class (email childcare@nobts.edu).

Workshop Courses

Two 2-and-a-half day workshops are offered each year during Red Carpet Week in May on the New Orleans campus. Housing reservations should be made ahead of time (suggestion: at least one month in advance). The Ministry Wife certificate courses are offered to wives of currently enrolled NOBTS students free of charge. No application or tuition fees will be charged to wives of currently enrolled students. Students who are not married to a current NOBTS student may register for these courses, but they will have to pay fees and tuition rates.
