Jeffrey G. Audirsch’s research interests have primarily focused on the historical and theological relationship between the Deuteronomic law code and the Deuteronomistic History and other Deuteronomistic writings. His recent interests, however, have shifted to the intersectionality between Israelite religion and ancient Near Eastern religious practices. He is currently co-editing a volume entitled The Religions Around the Old Testament (Eerdmans) that examines this phenomenon.
Jeff previously taught at Brewton-Parker College and Shorter University before joining the faculty of Leavell College. In addition to his teaching career, Jeff has pastored churches in Louisiana and Georgia. He and his wife, Alicia, have three children.
