Bio

Richard Gambill's academic interest focus primarily in the areas of preaching and biblical theology and discovering how the Bible can inform both the content and the methodology of preaching. As his primary role at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Dr. Gambill serves as the Associate Vice President of Auxiliary Services and Operations.

Dr. Gambill has more than 20 years of ministry experience, serving churches and in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana as pastor, conference speaker, chaplain, and pulpit supply.

Dr. Gambill and his wife, Maribeth, who is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, have one adult daughter, Gabi, and son-in-law, Blaine Stephenson.
