Bio

Adam serves as the Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program. Having 25 years of experience in the local church, he also teaches courses in preaching and pastoral leadership. His desire is to help the current and next generation of pastors and church leaders love God's Word, preach and teach it faithfully, and lead the church well. Adam has contributed chapters to several edited works including Small Church, Excellent Ministry: A Guidebook for Pastors, Together We Equip: Integrating Discipleship and Ministry Leadership for Holistic Spiritual Formation, Engage: Tools for Contemporary Evangelism and Contextualizing Preaching: Conversations with Diverse Church Leaders. In 2021, he co-authored Together We Lead: Integrating Church Leadership and Administration for Ministry Success with Jody Dean. His current research interests focus on small church leadership, text-driven preaching, and integrating apologetic and worldview issues with expository preaching in the pulpit. Adam and his wife, Holly, have four children. Outside of his work at NOBTS, Adam loves running and cheering for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
