Bio

As Associate Vice President of Enrollment at NOBTS, Matthew James oversees admissions, financial aid, and the Registrar's Office. In addition to his administrative duties, Matthew enjoys teaching Church History and Baptist Heritage courses for the institution. Matthew served in pastoral ministry for over fifteen years. Most recently, Matthew pastored a church outside of Wake Forest, NC where he also taught adjunctively for Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Matthew has a desire to see high school and college students realize and walk in obedience to the call of God upon their lives. Matthew is married to Jessica, and they have a son and two daughters, Desmond, Ryland, and Kalani. Matthew is a diehard LSU fan, enjoys hunting, and rebuilding classic vehicles and motorcycles.
