In celebration of Giving Tuesday, we are excited to announce the School Staff Writing Contest! This contest is designed to encourage our dedicated staff members to reflect on the theme, "God is a giver; therefore, I am compelled to give," and share their personal experiences and insights through a heartfelt letter.

Contest Rules and Guidelines

Eligibility

• All school staff members are eligible to participate in the contest.
• Each participant may submit only one entry.
• The contest launch date on Friday, October 6, 2023

Submission Requirements: Deadline November 10, 2023

• Entries must be in the form of a 350-400-word letter.
• The letter should creatively and passionately address the Theme: "God is a giver; therefore, I am compelled to give."
• Submissions must be typed and submitted electronically to cross@nobts.edu by the contest deadline.
• Participants should include their full name and position within the school in the submission email.

Judging Criteria

• Creativity and originality in addressing the theme (40%)
• Emotional impact and personal connection (30%)
• Writing style, grammar, and clarity (20%)
• Overall impression (10%)

Prizes

• First Place: $50 gift certificate to the campus coffee shop
• Second Place: $25 gift certificate to the campus coffee shop

Judging Panel

• A panel of impartial judges, consisting of five individuals, will evaluate the submissions.

Announcement of Winners

• The winners will be announced on Friday, November 13, 2023 via school-wide email and on the school's website.
