Welcome to NOBTS and Leavell College! We are so excited that God has called you to seminary and that you feel Him leading you to New Orleans. We are committed to giving you the best seminary experience possible, and we believe that orientation is a crucial part of getting you the information you need for a successful seminary experience.
Orientation takes place in two parts: Online Orientation and Campus Orientation.
After you have been admitted, you will complete Online Orientation in your Student Portal. You must complete this requirement before you are allowed to register for classes.
All new and most returning students are required to complete Online Orientation. We have tried to put only the most crucial information for success at NOBTS and Leavell College in Online Orientation!
If you selected our main campus or an extension center as your preferred campus on your application, we also provide you with a campus orientation at your selected site. Extension center students should contact their Extension Center Director for information about when and where campus orientation will take place.
All new graduate and undergratduate main campus students and all students readmitted after 3 years without taking classes.
Spring 2023 Campus Orientation dates: Thursday, January 12 , 9 am - Friday, January 13, 2023, 3 pm. Please plan to attend Thursday from 9 am - 5 pm and on Friday from 8 am - 3 pm.
For New Orleans students, campus orientation takes place in a conference format. Orientation will always be held on the Thursday and Friday before classes begin (see the academic calendar for those dates). During orientation, you will get a chance to hear from the President and Provost, meet other students and professors, hear more about your specific degree program, receive advising, learn about the city of New Orleans, and be encouraged in your pursuit of God's call on your life.
Guest housing is available for commuter students and guests on a first-come, first-serve basis. For information on rates and reservations, call 504-944-4455, or email email@example.com.
If you are driving to our campus to participate in Orientation, please park in the Hardin Student Center parking lot. Campus Police representatives will distribute parking decals in the Hardin Student Center. You will need your current driver’s license, vehicle registration, proof of insurance, and license plate number in order to receive a parking permit. Please bring this information with you. Click here to complete the online registration before attending campus orientation.
