Therefore, the purpose of the anti-harassment policy on this page is to maintain an environment free of unlawful harassment, which includes sexual assault or misconduct. NOBTS and Leavell College has developed policies and procedures that provide a prompt, fair, and impartial process for those involved in an allegation of discrimination or harassment.
What is Sexual Harassment?
Sexual Harassment, as an umbrella category, includes the offenses of sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking.
What should I do if I believe a friend or myself have been harassed?
If you experience, observe, hear about, or believe someone has been sexually harassed in any way, you should make a report of the facts of the incident(s) by contacting the Title IX Coordinator or Deputy Coordinators (contact information below). You can also complete this form. In the case of an emergency, call 911 or the New Orleans Police Department at 504-821-2222. You can also call NOBTS Campus Police at 504-944-7711. NOBTS and Leavell College will not tolerate sexual harassment of its students or employees and will investigate all allegations of harassment. Where sexual harassment is found, steps will be taken to stop and remedy unwanted behavior immediately.

The Title IX Coordinator at NOBTS is a member of the Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA). ATIXA’s website is https://atixa.org/.
All Title IX personnel at NOBTS are trained using materials purchased and licensed from ATIXA. These trainings include the following: Title IX Coordinator 1, Title IX Coordinator 2, Title IX Investigator, Title IX Hearing and Decision Makers.
Mandatory Reporters and Confidential Resources
NOBTS has classified all employees as Mandated Reporters of any knowledge they have that a member of the community is experiencing harassment, discrimination, and/or retaliation. All NOBTS employees (faculty, staff, administrators) are expected to report actual or suspected discrimination, harassment and/or retaliation to appropriate officials immediately, although there are some limited exceptions.
