ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
NOBTS students and faculty are committed to advancing the field of biblically-based Christian counseling in church settings and in positions requiring professional licensure. Our faculty publications have focused on foundational and practical issues that guide our work. Our faculty members are active in several professional organizations and conduct training for Christian counselors on a regular basis. We are committed to producing outstanding counselors.
CLINICAL TRAINING
NOBTS counseling students don't just learn about counseling; they practice counseling throughout their degree programs. Students start the clinical portion of their training after completing a set of core courses and evaluation. They see clients in the state-of-the-art Leeke Magee Christian Counseling Center, where they counsel with members of the seminary family and the New Orleans community. Students engage in individual and group supervision to grow in a relationship with a highly qualified counseling supervisor and to benefit from the power of a group experience.
PRACTICAL MINISTRY
NOBTS graduates are committed to the ministry of counseling, and professional licensing opens doors to make a difference with excellence. NOBTS students and graduates are making an impact in the dynamic and multicultural city of New Orleans, in churches across the nation, in counseling centers, in hospitals and other clinical settings, on state licensing boards, and in professional organizations.

Whatever the setting, we want to be salt and light in our practice. NOBTS counselors are on mission at home and around the world. Our faculty and students have real missions experience and Great Commission focus. Whether training counselors in Cuba, equipping church leaders in Malaysia, or training pastors and counselors in our own communities, we are committed to serving God's people wherever he leads.
